- FYI, not all of us who live in SC are, as PR-345009 so ignorantly states, bible-thumping conservatives and this is not the only state where this could have happened. I agree that this surgery should never have been done on this child at such a young age, and more power to the parents.

- Kathyrn, Pit bulls were called nanny dogs at the turn of the 20th century. Many many old photographs picture young children or babies with their pit bulls. They were loyal and trustworthy, so much so that parents entrusted the care of their children with them.

- The problem is that these snakes are not native species and are wiping out the native species in the Everglades. It is not a matter of ignorance except on the part of the people who own them and then release them into the wild.

- I agree 100% - check out your local shelter, there are many nice dogs and cats that will be euthanized if they don't find a loving home. I have a wonderful black Lab and a chocolate Lab that were on death row and were going to be euthanized within a day.

- Mr. Wells is entitled to his opinion, but one of Guy's no-collar American fare restaurants shown on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, is near my house and, quite frankly, serves excellent food for a reasonable price, and they serve locally grown produce, much of which they grow themselves.

- On Letterman, Trump was yapping on and on and complaining about Obama outsourcing to China. David Letterman pulled out some of Trump's ties sold at Macy's. The label read "MADE IN CHINA." What a hypocrite.
